This is a wonderful 50s dress made in a very pretty tone of blue taffeta.  The dress is sleeveless and has a high set scoop neckline, defined waist and stitched “bands” around the skirt and upper bodice.  The skirt is cut full, like a circle skirt, and posed with a crinoline, but no crinoline is supplied.  The dress does up the side with a metal zipper.  It has loops at the waist for a belt, but no belt is present.   

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 50s dress, and although this should fit a medium to large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the dress:

Shoulders:  14 1/2” across the straps

Bust:  40” around, taken at the underarms 

Waist:  31” around

Hips:  Full / 54”, meant to fall loosely

Length:  46” long, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors - this 50s dress looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
